Custom – KB Dream

I was contacted by a high school classmate who wanted to do something special for her husband on their upcoming anniversary. Yes …we hit the deadline! Kenn loves Myrtlewood and the Oregon Ducks! We worked both into this guitar, from the Myrtlewood burl and tiger Myrtle for the main body, to the Oregon Western Maple on the top. The wings were Kenn’s ideas and we’ve ended up using them on a couple of guitars over the years. They are just cool 🙂 Kenn and I had a few conversations around what he would like in a guitar “just in case” he had the opportunity to have one built. From those conversations we installed a gold Bigsby with roller bridge, Benson Custom humbuckers with gold covers, ebony fretboard with custom abalone “O” inlays, custom wood truss rod cover with abalone inlay of Kenn’s initials, Schaller gold tuners, custom control cover to accommodate placement of the controls due to the wings, transparent Oregon green top stain with hand-rubbed oil finish and the neck …a very special piece of Myrtlewood and Wenge hand carved neck. What a gift for me to work with Kenn and Sallye to create this guitar and what a great gift for Kenn to have a guitar that will keep him rocking for years and years. Love & Aloha to Kenn & Sallye
